PHB Secures Upgrade to Gold1 Sustainability Rating from RAM Sustainability (BM Version Available)
Group Achieves Platinum for Social Rating

SHAH ALAM, 8 DECEMBER 2025 Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB), together with RAM Sustainability Sdn Bhd (RAM Sustainability) today announced the upgrade of PHB’s Corporate Sustainability Rating to Gold1 from Gold3.

This upgrade follows RAM Sustainability’s annual review, which also saw PHB achieves the highest possible rating of Platinum for the Social pillar, a significant ascent from its previous Gold3 rating. Concurrently, the ratings for the Group’s Environmental pillar was upgraded to Gold2 from Silver3 while the Governance pillar was affirmed at Gold2.

Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of PHB, Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit, said, “The upgrade of our overall Sustainability Rating to Gold1 marks a significant milestone in PHB's sustainability journey. We are equally proud to have achieved a Platinum rating for our Social performance, which validates our mandate of deriving value from commercial real estate for the benefit of the Bumiputera community and to do so responsibly.”

“PHB’s Sustainability Rating upgrade demonstrates solid ESG progress achieved through the continuous adoption of best sustainability practices,” said Chief Executive Officer of RAM Sustainability, Gladys Chua.

“It underscores the Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship as well as social initiatives that support socioeconomic empowerment and inclusive local growth for the Bumiputera community,” she added.

The upgrade to a Platinum Social rating reflects PHB’s role in strengthening Bumiputera participation in real estate through the Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB), a Shariah-compliant unit trust fund. This is complemented by its proactive tenant-centric approach, supported by digital engagement systems that enhance responsiveness and drive high satisfaction levels, with the Group achieving an 81% tenant satisfaction score.

On the environmental front, the upgrade to Gold2 was driven by significant improvements in supply chain management. In the 2024-2025 financial period, PHB successfully integrated environmental and social criteria into its Vendor Performance Assessment (VPA), covering climate action, energy efficiency and human rights. The Group also expanded its G.R.E.E.N Policy and aims to increase its portfolio of green-certified buildings to 37% by 2025.

Although not mandated by listing requirements given its status as an unlisted company, PHB upholds high standards of accountability and corporate governance. Demonstrating a proactive stance on disclosure, the Group released its inaugural sustainability report guided by the Securities Commission’s Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG).



PENARAFAN KEMAMPANAN PHB DINAIKTARAF KE EMAS1 OLEH RAM SUSTAINABILITY

SHAH ALAM, 8 Disember 2025 – Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB) bersama RAM Sustainability Sdn Bhd (RAM Sustainability) hari ini mengumumkan penaiktarafan Penarafan Kemampanan Korporat syarikat pelaburan hartanah itu daripada Emas3 kepada Emas1.

Penaiktarafan tersebut diberikan selepas semakan tahunan RAM Sustainability yang mendapati komponen sosial PHB melonjak ke tahap tertinggi iaitu Platinum, berbanding penarafan Emas3 sebelum ini. Pada masa sama, komponen alam sekitar turut meningkat daripada Perak3 ke Emas2, manakala komponen tadbir urus kekal kukuh pada tahap Emas2.
Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan/ Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PHB, Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit, berkata pencapaian itu membuktikan usaha berterusan syarikat memperkukuh agenda kemampanan.

“Penaiktarafan keseluruhan ke Emas1 merupakan pengiktirafan terhadap komitmen kami mempertingkatkan prestasi kemampanan syarikat. Kami amat berbangga dengan pencapaian penarafan Platinum bagi komponen sosial, yang mengukuhkan mandat kami untuk menjana nilai daripada hartanah komersial demi manfaat komuniti Bumiputera serta melaksanakannya secara bertanggungjawab.”

Beliau berkata PHB akan terus memberi tumpuan kepada pelaksanaan Pelan Induk Strategi Risiko Tiga Tahun PHB dan Hala Tuju Persekitaran 2030.
“Dengan mengintegrasikan kriteria Persekitaran, Sosial dan Tadbir Urus (ESG) yang kukuh ke dalam rantaian bekalan, serta memberi penekanan kepada inisiatif pemerkasaan sosioekonomi, kami yakin perkembangan PHB akan terus memberi impak positif kepada penyewa, pelabur dan masyarakat,” katanya.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif RAM Sustainability, Gladys Chua, berkata peningkatan penarafan itu mencerminkan kemajuan ESG yang dicapai hasil penerimaan amalan kelestarian terbaik oleh PHB.

“Penaiktarafan ini menggariskan komitmen PHB terhadap pemeliharaan alam sekitar serta inisiatif sosial yang menyokong pemerkasaan sosioekonomi dan pertumbuhan inklusif masyarakat Bumiputera,” katanya.

Penaiktarafan ke Platinum Sosial tersebut turut mencerminkan peranan PHB dalam memperkukuh penglibatan Bumiputera dalam sektor hartanah komersial melalui Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB), sebuah dana amanah patuh Syariah. Pencapaian ini diperkukuh oleh pendekatan proaktif bersama penyewa, disokong sistem keterlibatan digital yang meningkatkan kecekapan maklum balas sehingga membolehkan PHB mencatat skor kepuasan penyewa 81%.

Bagi komponen alam sekitar, peningkatan ke Emas2 dipacu penambahbaikan pengurusan rantaian bekalan. Bagi tahun kewangan 2024 hingga 2025, PHB menggabungkan kriteria alam sekitar dan sosial ke dalam Penilaian Prestasi Vendor (VPA), merangkumi tindakan iklim, kecekapan tenaga dan hak asasi manusia. PHB turut memperkukuh Polisi G.R.E.E.N serta menyasarkan peningkatan portfolio bangunan berakreditasi hijau kepada 37% menjelang 2025.

Walaupun PHB merupakan syarikat tidak tersenarai dan tidak tertakluk kepada keperluan penyenaraian, syarikat tetap komited mengekalkan standard tinggi dalam aspek akauntabiliti dan tadbir urus korporat. Dalam memenuhi pendekatan telus terhadap pendedahan maklumat, PHB turut menerbitkan Laporan Kemampanan sulung berasaskan Garis Panduan Pendedahan ESG Ringkas (SEDG) oleh Suruhanjaya Sekuriti.
